Projects

Scientists for 9/11 Truth is not a mass organization.  We are not about numbers, per se.  Some scientists who have signed on merely want to express their solidarity with our work.  For others it is a working forum to facilitate collaborations with others who have complementary skills to help accomplish their mutual research goals.

Members are encouraged to write letters and articles, based on sound scientific principles, on all aspects of the events of 9/11 and related issues. By submitting these writings to newspapers, magazines, and so on, and to members of the political establishment and related institutions, we can further the cause of spreading the truth about 9/11.

In particular, members are encouraged to submit papers based on their own research and analysis to the online Journal of 9/11 Studies where they will undergo peer review before publication.

Members are also encouraged to submit ideas for joint letters and other activities that may require a group effort. From time to time you may be informed of such efforts and be invited to participate.

List of Projects

For information on the status of these projects, please contact the Coordinator.

Investigate NIST for Fraud:

Write joint letters, signed by our members, to the US Attorney General, to the Inspector General for the Department of Commerce, to NSF, and to UCS requesting that NIST be investigated for scientific fraud.

Current Status: See letters to John P. Holdren, the Department of Commerce, the Union of Concerned Scientist, and the National Science Foundation by members of Scientists, January 19, 2011. Note: In these copies, the sender’s address has been replaced by Scientists’ PO Box address. There has been no response from any of the letter recipients, except for an email from Peggy L. Fischer of NSF, dated 01/28/2011.

College Outreach:

Notify as many college and university science departments as possible of the existence of this site and the papers available thereon, with recommendations of the best papers for people just beginning to look into this issue.

Outreach to the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers):

David Chandler and Guthrie Miller, who are both Quakers, have initiated a process to bring consciousness of 9/11 Truth to the Religious Society of Friends, a religious group with a history of taking courageous stands on social issues with relevance to human values.  This project started with an article in the September 2018 issue of Western Friend, a journal of the Pacific, North Pacific, and Inter Mountain Yearly Meetings, followed up by a closed online dialogue process for attenders of Quaker Meetings in these areas for discussion and mutual education.  The goal is to promote the growth of awareness and understanding of the issue to the point where the body as a whole might take a stand for 9/11 Truth.

“Building What?” Campaign:

Participate in the campaign proposed by David Ray Griffin and NYC CAN, namely, “that the international 9/11 Truth Movement initiate, starting this September [2010], a world-wide, year-long ‘Building What?’ campaign” to make the fact of WTC 7’s “collapse” widely known. See David Chandler’s videos.

Comprehensive Assessment of Evidence at the Pentagon:

This started as a personal research project by Wayne Coste, joined in the late stages by David Chandler to better present the results.  Wayne has brought together a vast array of evidence covering many areas of dispute in the Pentagon attack.  Some of the work is original with Wayne, including the analysis of the two security camera videos that show a truck moving across the Pentagon lawn, from which he is able to derive an independent measurement of the speed of the plane (540 mi/hr).  The presentation broken into “chapters” and narrated by David Chandler is available here.  (Initially Wayne put it together as a 5h40m Powerpoint video “just to get it out the door.”  That version is also available on YouTube.)  This is an extremely contentious topic within the 9/11 Truth Movement.  The only way the issue is going to be resolved is by carefully and systematically evaluating all of the evidence.  This effort goes a long way toward accomplishing that goal.

Information Repository:

Develop a repository of quantitative information about the WTC buildings (similar to a “CRC Handbook” of WTC information) where those who write or speak about the subject can find the facts they need.

Conduct Research:

Conduct research on the WTC dust and other aspects of the building destructions in New York, as well as other events of 9/11 that are amenable to scientific research. An example is testing the WTC dust for various explosive residues.
